We built a single‑storey volume set to a precise 34‑degree pitch, meeting the architect’s meticulous standards and tolerances. Construction began with careful site surveys and bespoke foundations to protect the nearby c.250‑year‑old wattle and daub cottage. Structural timber and engineered joists were installed to achieve exact geometry while minimising load transfer to the historic fabric. A glazed link, framed in sustainably sourced oak, was fabricated on site then lifted into position to ensure tight tolerances and weatherproof connections. All finishes and joinery matched specified technical details, with conservation‑minded methods used throughout to safeguard the cottage’s integrity and setting.
